How EverGift works

Three places work together: this website, your personal dashboard, and EverGift Vault, the private space on your own computer where your messages are made and sealed.

Three places, one purpose

  • 1

    The website

Learn about EverGift, choose a plan and create your account.

  • 2

    Your dashboard

Your personal home after you sign in: the people you love, upcoming moments, suggestions, your plan, check-ins and security. It shows what is sealed, never what it says.

  • 3

    EverGift Vault

Opened from your dashboard, on your own computer. This is where you record, write, review and seal. Your words never leave it unsealed.

Step by step

  1. Create your account

Tell us your name and email, choose a plan and accept the member agreement. You make a passkey on your phone or computer: no password. Then you connect the computer that will hold your vault.

  2. Name the people you love

Add children, grandchildren, friends, and the moments you want to be part of. Our concierge suggests messages you might like to leave, such as "a graduation message for Ava". It works only from the names and dates you give it, never from your recordings.

  3. Open your vault

When you are ready, press Open EverGift Vault on your dashboard. Your vault opens on your computer and unlocks with your unlock phrase, which only you know.

  4. Record and write

Record a video or write a letter. Add captions in your own words. Nothing is ever written for you or put in your mouth.

  5. Choose who and when

Pick the recipient and the moment: a date, a milestone like a graduation, or after your passing. Name someone to receive it if the first person cannot.

  6. Review and seal

See exactly what will happen, then seal. A sealed gift can never be changed or opened before its time. If you want to add something later, you add a new note alongside it.

  7. Keep it current

Your dashboard reminds you of upcoming moments, gentle check-ins and anything that needs attention. You name trustees: people who can let us know if something has happened.

  8. When the time comes

We confirm a passing carefully: a verified report, records from two independent sources, attempts to reach you, a waiting period anyone can object in, and two people approving. A missed check-in alone never counts.

  9. Delivered with love

Your loved one is invited, confirms who they are, and opens your message. They can check that it is exactly what you sealed, unchanged.

Ready to begin?

Setting up takes about ten minutes. You sign in with a passkey on your own device: there is no password to steal or forget.
